This was my first real blizzard and I didn’t know quite what to expect. Thankfully I didn’t lose power (I was not looking forward to the idea of drinking hot tea in my parka, indoors) and all that happened was we got quite a lot of snow. It was really beautiful actually, so I figured I’d share a few photos. 🙂
The snowy view in the morning
The beautiful snowdrift
Realizing that the snowdrift is almost three feet deep
Lots of snow shoveling
Feeling a sense of accomplishment in creating a path
Taking a break for homemade French toast
Making a snow angel
Drinking hot chocolate with whipped cream
I am now indoors, warm and toasty, and going to make a homemade king cake, ignoring the fact that we might get up to 5 more inches of snow tonight.
you made a snow angel 🙂
Very nice. Interesting that french toast made the post. We have a “must” tradition of french toast when it snows. 🙂
Susan, yeah it’s a nice tradition and I couldn’t help myself. Especially since I waited in the long grocery store line for milk, eggs, and bread to be able to do so. 🙂

Snowstorms are beautiful! I’m glad you didn’t lose power, though, because that makes things a lot less fun. I live in Los Angeles now (I grew up in MA), and I really miss the peaceful quiet that descends during snowstorms.
Yeah, I was glad I got the experience, and I took the most awesome nap. Being from Louisiana, hurricanes are usually pretty good for restful naps too. I’ve gotta admit, California weather sounds kinda nice right about now though, or maybe even Caribbean weather…
wow scary
